The Pericles Hub provides objective, software supplier independent help and guidance to any Local Authority faced with the task of migrating from Pericles to an alternative system.

The Hub has been designed with representatives of the Pericles User Group Executive Committee to ensure that it caters properly for all the likely requirements of sites preparing to replace Pericles. Technical knowledge, expertise and experience are all provided by Meritec Limited based upon years of Pericles knowledge as a market leader in Pericles and related services. Data conversion and systems integration - totally supplier independent – are key competencies of Meritec and all of this is available to members of the Hub community.

Working together

For Pericles sites there is much to consider ranging from selection, through procurement into implementation and post go-live support. This is the place to be for those who wish to share with other Councils faced with similar challenges and use strength in numbers to leverage economies of scale for reduced risk and lower costs.

Evaluating options

The software suppliers to the Revenues and benefits market will be understandably very keen to promote their products and quite intensive competition can be expected. In such circumstances though it can be easy to misjudge propositions which might at first sight appear attractive – through the Hub it is possible to objectively compare supplier proposals in detail and make sure that all cost of ownership considerations are taken fully into account, remembering that there are many areas of cost outside those quoted by suppliers which will be necessary to achieve a fully working system.

Advice and documentation

The Hub also provides members with access to proven and reliable documentation that can be used during selection, procurement and implementation. Data conversion will inevitably be a key consideration for sites and the objective, independent advice and experience available via the hub can prove invaluable in this regard.
