NetShare delivers an extensive range of services to enable capability and capacity in the right place at the right time for improving performance in the public sector, especially local government. Services range from resilience processing in benefits to council-wide transformation services. Moreover, there are many facilities over and above conventional services, such as knowledge sharing, e-awareness courseware, and community forums to provide wide-ranging information and guidance on how to achieve best practice and value in areas of key concern.

A prime aim is for services to be delivered by member councils to one another. NetShare provides a mechanism for matching demand for services and facilities with supply. On joining, member requirements and capabilities are analysed to assess what services they may wish to obtain and what services they want to share with other local authorities. Services which are offered for supply are rigorously vetted to ensure quality and sustainability.
Service is assured even if the preferred supplier defaults – via a secondary pool of Associate suppliers. The pricing strategy is pre-defined and there is a service desk facility to help smooth delivery. Secure technology links can be provided (where required).
For example, resilience processing is very popular in the current economic climate, especially in the Benefits Service. Typically, Councils continue to operate the service in house. But NetShare provides top-up remote processing, and/ or supplies an on-site temporary staffing resource. NetShare Flex also provides a range of systems training and support services for key business applications including help with migration and conversion.
